Meet Miranda!
We named our 2005 crias for characters in The Tempest since Katrina hit that year, and Miranda has all the "stormy" spunk that Amber's crias usually have. We expect she'll pass her dense, crimpy, lustrous fleece on to her crias as her mom has, too. What we didn't expect was the unusual "roan" color we discovered after we sheared her the first time. The "dusty" look you see in the picture on the right is the result of white/silver fibers throughout the dark fawn in Miranda's blanket and up her neck. It spins into a beautiful, heathered yarn!
